Myopia Awareness Week

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a problem that impacts many people globally. This common eye condition makes distant objects appear blurry and is caused by the cornea being curved, which impacts how the retina reflects light.

During Myopia Awareness Week

We’re educating our patients about this growing issue and letting them know what the causes, symptoms, and treatment options are for myopia. Our goal is to help you understand the importance of maintaining good eye health and the steps you can take to prevent myopia from developing or progressing.

One such step is going for regular eye exams and getting the appropriate corrective lenses prescribed by an eye doctor. Book an appointment at Seaview Optical to prevent and treat myopia.
